1st Anniversary

Last weekend, we celebrated our first anniversary! We spent the majority of the weekend trying to figure out how a year has gone by already.  The rest of the time we enjoyed looking back at pictures and spending time together.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures because my camera broke.  These are some picture from the web.  We went back to the country club we got married at and had brunch with a view!  After brunch, we walked down to the lawn and gazebo, which brought back so many great memories.
My parents took us out to wine country. It was such a beautiful weekend, just like last year - 80 degrees, not a cloud in the sky!
We ended our anniversary day having dinner with my family at The Oar House.  It was such a beautiful fall night so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun setting behind the boats and water.
I am so grateful for having an amazing husband who makes me the happiest, luckiest girl in the world.  To top off the weekend, he bought me a bouquet of flowers that matched the ones from out wedding. I love him.  I look forward to spending 100 anniversaries together!

Breakout Star!

I'm so proud of my little sister! First season of college soccer and she is kicking a$$ and taking names!
Check out her lastest write-up!

The Panthers duplicated their 8-1 win from the weekend against the host Cardinals on a rainy, cold day on the road.

Breakout star Cat Viscardi (FR/Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) recorded four goals and assisted on another, while teammate Ashley Panepinto (SR/North Rockland, NY) had a goal and two assists to lead the Panthers to the victory.

Just a little over six minutes into the match, Viscardi picked up the first of her goals off an assist from Amanda Maertz (FR/Holbrook, NY).  Fewer than two minutes later, Viscardi added another goal to make it 2-0.

In the 21st minute, a foul in the box following a corner kick led to a penalty shot for Panepinto.

Panepinto converted the kick to make it 3-0. It was actually Panepinto's second try at a penalty shot. Just a few minutes earlier, a handball in the goalie box gave Panepinto a penalty kick opportunity but York goalie Vanessa Rivera turned away the shot.

Purchase (5-3-1) continued the onslaught from there, recording two more goals before halftime with one coming from Ariel Dugan (SR/Lindenhurst, NY) and another fromMelissa Valencia (FR/New York, NY).

The second half saw Valencia adding another goal in the 64th minute and Viscardi netting her third goal in the 70th minute.

In the 80th minute, the Cardinals (1-7) got on the board.  A penalty kick was awarded to York and the Cardinals' Carolina Munoz converted the kick for her team-leading third goal of the season.

In the 88th minute, Viscardi added yet another goal, her fourth of the game, to round out the scoring.
