After a little bit of research, some guidance from parents and a quick stop at Loews, we loaded up with all of the supplies we needed to get busy.
Having my mom's steamer made this job a lot easier! We ran a box cutter over the wallpaper, sprayed the area with DIF and steamed the heck out of it!Luckily, it came off a lot easier than we thought it would!
The dry wall was in pretty good shape but one spot needed a lot of sanding!
Such a good renovation puppy!We had some long days and nights but Shark Week helped us keep going.
Sanding = DONE!
Next step was to wash the walls with TSP. It wasn't easy getting all of the wallpaper glue off but we did it!
Final step is paint! Standing in front of the big color wheels at Loews was definitely overwhelming. We narrowed it down to beige and/or green but there's still so many to choose from! That's definitely a job for another day...
