Lastest and Greatest

It seems this April we've been showered with tons to do! We have been incredibly busy lately!  Hopefully these April showers will bring May blog posts!

Here's the lastest and greatest -

Who doesn't love a present "just because?"  One of Matt's favorite bands came out with a new CD so I bought it, wrapped it up on his dinner plate and surprised him with it when he came home. Brownie points for Theresa!
The house hunting has begun!
We met a great realtor who has shown us a handful of houses in the Milford/Trumbull/Shelton area.  There was one house that really stood out to us in the north end of Milford so we had to invite my parents up to see it!  I'm so lucky to have a dad who knows houses better than anyone else!  After his thorough inspection and talking things through over lunch, we decided to put an offer in!  We'll see where that takes us!  We love the house for it's sunny kitchen, big backyard and serious potential!
Matt will use any and every excuse to cook... and I love him for it... sorta.  We are completely different cooks/bakers.  When I'm cooking, I take out what I need, place it back where it belongs immediately after using it and wipe the counter down if needed as I go.  This makes for a more pleasurable cooking experience because when I'm done cooking, I'm ready to eat.  I can sit and enjoy my food while not having to think about the amount of clean up that's needed to be done.
Matt, on the other hand, has a completely different "style" of cooking.  His game plan is to get me out of the kitchen, get every appliance out, every tool, every ingredient, open every draw and cabinet and make every mess possible.  Me being his OCD wife, runs into the kitchen every time he turns his back and wipes up spilt ingredients and puts away items before he notices.
Sometimes I get caught and get this face above.  I must admit that he always cleans up his mess, it's just that nothing goes back in the right place! Thank god he loves me, despite my OCD. Even though my cooking "style" is way better than his, Matt's food always tastes way better than mine! So I love him for it... sorta.

Easter was picturesque!
We could not have had a better day for Easter brunch!  It was a great way to wrap up spring vacation with the family.  Even through all of the insanity and busy schedules Matt and I had over the past few weeks, Ryley keeps us smiling!  Can't help but love that smiley Ryley face!
This big guy turns 2 on Saturday!

A Weekend of Brotherly Love

The mighty, mighty Titan was begging for it's first road trip.  With a mother-in-law turning 60, a brother-in-law narrowing down his house hunting search and a best friend's puppy dreaming of a play-date, the Titan was off to PA!

Remmy and Ryley hadn't seen each other since Ry was only a few months old!  Needless to say, they had a lot of playing to catch up on!
Uncle Jon had to get in on the action!
Then we were off to Media to check out Andrew and Lindsey's next potential home!  We had a blast walking through the house and around the property dreaming of how they could make it their first home as a married couple.  Our favorite features are the Peter Pan room, clawfoot 'beer' tub, cereal chair, fire pit, and life-sized Santa. Best of luck getting this awesome house guys! You know who your first house guests/roommates will be!
Our next stop was the famous Reading Terminal Market in the heart of Philadelphia. This place was amazing! Matt tried telling me it was a farmers market but I think it's better described as a glorified food court.  It has hundreds of vendors and thousands of food choices!
Take a walk with me as I follow Matt around part of the market!
Our decision for lunch was easy. No trip to Philly would have been complete without a cheesesteak!
180 more days till these love birds tie the knot!
With a foot-long cheesesteak in his belly, he is now a happy boy.
 Happy 60th birthday!
I can't even begin to describe the story that goes with this next picture.  All you need to know is that I found a delicious cheesecake brownie and hand delivered it to Mr. Jonathan Craig Hollin. Mission accomplished.
Before leaving, Matt attempted to steal Remmy and take him back with us to CT.  Remmy didn't seem to put up much of a fight either.  Ryley is already counting down the seconds until they get to play again, and so are we!
