Homeowner Lesson #1: Expect the unexpected!

 We had a minor issue in the hallway bathroom and needed to take an emergency trip to Loews for a new toilet. Who knew there are so many options for toilets!  We went back and forth "test driving" round and oblong toilets.  Then we had to decide how tall or short we wanted it.  Finally, we had to pick a color and style.  Ultimately, we decided a white 16.5 inch round Kohler toilet would get the job done!

 Hurricane Irene was our next unexpected surprise, along with a visit from my favorite sister! Ryley loves visits from Aunt Cat!  That's the happiest puppy in the whole wide world right there.

 Matt had to do some demolition before the storm began!  He had to rip that branch down before it ended up in our bedroom window!

 Even though the worst of the storm stayed east of us, we got slammed by thundering winds!  We had this huge branch in our front yard fall.  : (  Fortunately, it wasn't the whole tree!

 Once the skies cleared, monkey man climbed the tree and chopped it down!
